Farm, everywhere.

Automated, Subscription-Supported Minifarms.
Everyone wants fresh, local produce - but not everyone has time to be a farmer. At Smallhold, we bring the farm to your back yard or kitchen, and run it via our Distributed Farming Network.

The easiest way to farm, ever.

We farm for you by growing produce 3/4 of the way and then deliver it to miniature vertical farm units (the size of shelving units) at your place of business to be harvested onsite as fresh, local food.

It's all in the Minifarm.

Smallhold gives you a networked farm, completely outfitted with sensors, climate control mechanisms, and hydroponics. Our horticulturalists run the farm from afar, growing for you right up until you pick and serve your produce.
  • Each farm can grow 4 varieties of produce and provide up to 250 lbs a week (40x the output of a traditional farm).
  • Year-round produce: create menu items, specials, sales and more in advance.
  • Turnkey - install the farm and have produce in a week.
  • Enclosed, climate controlled, and able to withstand harsh exterior environments - like other equipment you use.

Subscribe to freshness.

Subscribe to varieties of fresh, natural produce pre-grown by local farmers who meet quality standards set by our expert horticulturalists.
  • Produce pricing isn't dependent on availability or season.
  • We never use pesticides, GMOs or chemical additives.
  • No cold storage necessary (it's alive until you pick it).
  • Pricing is consistent and not dependent on market rates, and produce grows 24/7, 365 days a year.
  • Less deliveries, easy ordering.

A paradigm shift in agriculture technology.
You can ship organic produce from California to New York, but you can't ship local produce from California to New York. It's time to think differently.
